OUR BACKGROUND
Alexandra Chamber of Commerce was established in 1969, which represents local business people and aspiring entrepreneurs. It is now known as the Greater Alexandra Chamber of Commerce and Industries (GALXCOC). Which is a member based organisation incorporated under Section 21 of the companies Act. It is one of the longest existing Chambers of Commerce representing black people in Townships, and over the years it has gone through various periods of successes and failures as each leadership emerges.
Main Objectives
Advance the Industrial, Commercial and Local interest of Greater Alexandra Business Residents in particular, and to support and promote their interest on Local, Provincial, National and Regional buisness issues.
GALXCOC Role
Ensure adaquate protection of the interests of business. Expanding business and industrial activities in the Greater Alexandra.
